Notable presenters included past award winners Annaleigh Ashford, Norbert Leo Butz, Danny Burstein, Audra McDonald, Sutton Foster, Schele Williams, as well as Bernadette Peters, Sam Gold, and Michael Cruz Kayne. Since its inception in 1922, these awards have been distinguished as the oldest theatrical honors in America, uniquely chosen by a diverse cross-section of the theater community.

The ceremony began with an impressive lineup of presentations honoring various categories within the theater industry. Among the highlights was the Outstanding Production of a Play award, which went to "Oh, Mary!" staged at the Lyceum Theatre, penned by Cole Escola. In the category of Outstanding Revival of a Play, there was a tie between "Eureka Day" from the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, written by Jonathan Spector, and "Vanya," performed at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, adapted by Simon Stephens and Sam Yates based on Anton Chekhov's work. For musicals, "Maybe Happy Ending" at the Belasco Theatre took home the Outstanding Production honor, crafted with a book by Will Aronson and Hue Park, music by Will Aronson, and lyrics by Hue Park.

In addition to production accolades, the ceremony celebrated individual brilliance in direction and performance. Sam Pinkleton was lauded for their direction of "Oh, Mary!" while Michael Arden received recognition for directing "Maybe Happy Ending." Nicole Scherzinger was honored with the Distinguished Performance Award for her role in "Sunset Blvd."

Beyond the competitive categories, several special honors were bestowed upon individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the theater world.
